The Board of Directors of the Ottawa Capital Pride is looking for engaged youth, between the ages of 15 and 25, to form its new Youth Advisory Committee (YAC).
The purpose of the YAC will be to provide insight, advice and guidance for the development and implementation of Board policies and decisions specifically affecting LGBTQ2+ youth. Further, the YAC may also counsel the Festival Director and the Youth Coordinator in their event planning process and implementation to better serve the community.
This opportunity will provide you with a space to develop your own ideas and the platform to support OCP achieve their mission of Advocacy and Education to the public. This opportunity will allow you to acquire relevant skills while also providing you with meaningful engagement within your community.
