Its mission is to provide insight, advice, and guidance on the behalf of 2SLGBTQ+ youth to the Board of Directors, and the Operations Committee led by Executive Director Osmel B. Guerra Maynes. This includes the development and implementation of policies and bylaws, event and festival planning, and community outreach.
“The CPYC is so excited to welcome our new members to better meet the needs of the 2SLGBTQ+ youth community in the National Capital Region. Our aim is to create a culture of inclusion, respect and acceptance for all, and we look forward to growing and strengthening our community.”
David Thibodeau, CPYC Co-Chair
“Thanks to the successful recruitment, the CPYC was able to further diversify its membership and looks forward to being better able to advocate for youth of various backgrounds and identities in the National Capital Region.”

The CPYC looks forward to welcoming the insight and skills that the new members will bring, and Capital Pride welcomes their contributions to the mission and work of Capital Pride.
