The Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG) and Capital Pride are teaming up together to curate a summer art exhibition featuring work from young queer artists in the city!
The selected works will be showcased in the OAG’s public areas and the exhibition, along with its accompanying workshops and events, will run between August 10th and September 11th 2022.
Submissions will be reviewed and juried by members of both the OAG and Capital Pride youth councils.
All mediums are welcome and each applicant may submit up to one work or one body of work (ie: a series of paintings or photographs with similar themes). The works will be evaluated on various criteria such as concept, originality and technical ability. The deadline to apply is June 11th, 2022.
Participants will be notified of results via email within a month of the submission deadline. Selected exhibiting artists will be awarded a small honorarium and will need to have their artwork ready for installation and display by August.
