Ottawa-based DJ JuLa developed her musical sensibility growing up in a home filled with music and while playing the piano. Although her love of music began early, she discovered a passion for DJing later in adulthood, proving it’s never too late to pursue a new creative path.
JuLa plays a range of house styles, including deep, tech, latin, funky, disco, and jackin’. Whether delivering hypnotic grooves or uplifting, punchy rhythms, her sets are driven by a love of music and a passion for bringing people together on the dancefloor.
JuLa has recently played at events in Ottawa, including Tuesday Club 613 at Fono Hi-Fi Lounge, Discoland at City Annx, and Femme to the Front at La Vida Bistrobar and Social in Kingston.
For JuLa, DJing is about more than playing great music—it’s about creating spaces where people can connect, celebrate, and build community through the shared experience of dancing.
