Having done drag for 2 years, they have developed a sense of style that evokes glamrock androgyny of the 1980s while incorporating pop culture references that make the audience wonder; “Do they ever go outside?”.
For Opal Essence, drag is an amalgamation of their countless hobbies, allowing them to use their years of sewing, makeup, and musical theatre experience to wow the audience and keep them wanting more. Like the shifting colours of the stone, Opal aspires to show something different yet equally sparkly every time they hit the stage.
