Jayel is a Jamaican and Cuban local DJ and Producer born and raised in Ottawa. Jayel has been working with youth all over the city through their love for music. Through their work with Produced by Youth and Pass the Vibes Jayel has been able to cement themselves as a leader in the Ottawa creative community upholding their values for accessibility in the Black community. In 2024 Jayel after seeing less and less Black Queer Djs in Ottawa without a platform Jayel founded Bumpah2Bumpah a free party in collaboration with Capital Pride to showcase the amazing Black Queer Djs crushing it in the community. We are so excited to be back for year three of Bumpah2Bumpah.
