Farouk has been singing for as long as he can remember. It found him young and never let go. Born in Morocco, he carries that heritage with him wherever he goes, and it shows up most in his music. He’s now doing his master’s at the University of Ottawa, splitting his time between academic work and the singing that’s always pulled at him.Musically, he loves mixing his Moroccan roots with other genres jazz, Broadway, and whatever else catches his ear along the way. He’s drawn to the places where different sounds and traditions meet.
