Gillian Fenwick (she/her) is a Public Administration and Women’s Studies student at the University of Ottawa. This is her first year on the CPYC. As a proudly queer woman who has lived in Ottawa her whole life, she is very excited to get more involved in her own community.
Gillian is passionate about intersectional feminism, engaging grassroots organizations and keeping activism alive in pride, increasing visibility for young women-loving women, and making pride more welcoming and accessible for youth with mental illnesses and disabilities.
In her high school years, Gillian helped re-found her school’s Gay-Straight Alliance and was its co-chair for two years. In this role, she lead multiple fundraisers as well as social justice and educational campaigns. Gillian currently works as a federal public servant, and is Sisterhood Chair of her sorority Kappa Beta Gamma.
