Dr. Androbox is a trans crip drag king originally of St. John’s, Newfoundland, having made Ottawa his home two years ago. A comedic crooner a decade in the making, this storytelling singer has never met a sparkle he doesn’t like. He captured the title of Mr. Capital Pride 2022 after three years off-stage due to his ongoing battle with ulcerative colitis and steroid treatment. Dr. Androbox and his band, the Pronouns, released the first ever full album by a drag king in North America with their double EP Play All the Parts-Fluid Ditties last October.
