Dynamic, funny and endearing, Barbada is a drag artist who has been performing across Quebec since 2005. In addition to delivering disco, pop and dance performances, the drag queen – also a DJ – host many different events, such as events for the Cirque du Soleil, several weddings and many corporate events, always knowing how to adapt her approach to any occasion.
After several years of experience on stage, Barbada then became known to a wider audience by taking part in a wide variety of projects.
We have also been able to find her a few times on the show Bonsoir bonsoir!, as well as as co-host of the podcast Big black and beautiful.
With its humor, candor and values, Barbada is a Drag Queen for everyone.
In 2016, she can be seen in the documentary series Ils de jour, Elles de nuit, broadcast on ICI ARTV. That year, she also started Drag Story Hours, a project with which she travels everywhere to read stories to young people aged 3 to 8, with the aim of dealing with openness, acceptance and self-esteem.
In 2021, Barbada becomes one of the three mentors on Call Me Mother, a competition broadcast on OutTV in which she acts as a coach for the next generation of drags, a mandate that she will also fulfill for the second season of the show.
In 2022, she became the first Quebec drag queen at the helm of a youth program with the Barbada series, presented on ICI TOU.TV, in which she invites artists to take part in her colorful universe in order to introduce children to the music from here.
